Traits
Other Insectoid Horn (Exclusive)
The Insectoplant has a horn that does not match the description for any existing horn trait. |
Morphing (Exclusive)
The Insectoplant can distort its body, such as through making its limbs longer or differently-shaped.
NOTE:
This trait can not be used to allow an Insectoplant to entirely shape-shift – it distorts the existing body, but does not entirely change it. If the Insectoplant has other, completely distinct forms, Form Change must be used instead. If the markings and/or colors of the Insectoplant change, Moving Markings / Color Change is used instead.
Screen Face / Body (Exclusive)
The Insectoplant has one or more screens, like those of a television set, as a physical part of its body, which can display different images or videos.
NOTE:
Using Screen Face/Body does not require Unusual Body / Body Parts to be used unless there are other unnatural parts of the body as well.
Misplaced Spiracles (Exclusive)
The Insectoplant has spiracles in locations other than the standard line down the body, such as by having them in the center of the body or on their limbs. This trait also covers the largest spiracle being somewhere other than the neck.
NOTE:
When using Misplaced Spiracles, the largest spiracle still must be the first one, and spiracles must still diminish in size as they go along the body. Additionally, there must still be at least three spiracles on the body.
Major Magic (Exclusive)
The Insectoplant has powerful magic that can greatly affect themselves, the world around them, and/or other Insectoplants.
Alternate Types Show
-
Major Magic (Uncommon)

-
Major Magic (Rare)

Form Change (Exclusive)
The Insectoplant can change between two or more distinct, separate Insectoplant forms.
Note:
The Insectoplant may have a maximum of four forms, including the main form. When using Form Change, all forms of the Insectoplant must be traited and approved. Additionally, all forms of the Insectoplant must have all of the required traits for their respective subspecies.
Because of how broad this trait is a "point system" has been created to alleviate any stress and confusion caused when using the trait.
There are a total of 3 possible points:
- Shared colors
- Shared motifs (features, traits, accessories, etc.)
- Shared body types
In order for a design to pass, at least 2 points need to be hit.
Please note, designs that may still pass with 2 points may still be under further review under staff discrection.
