Traits
Any Other Wings (Mutation)
Silk Pack sits between these wings, any wings from the main trait list fall under this trait.
Caterpillar Feet (Common)
The Insectoplant has two-toed feet and/or two-fingered hands, resembling the feet of a caterpillar. For hands, they may optionally have a thumb in addition to the two fingers.
Multiple Arms / Legs (Common)
The Insectoplant has more than two arms and/or more than two legs. These extra limbs can be placed anywhere on the body as long as they do not resemble another trait that the Insectoplant does not have.
Note:
Using Multiple Arms / Legs does not require the use of Misplaced Body Parts for any additional limbs, regardless of the placement of the additional limbs, unless NONE of the arms and/or legs are in their correct locations.
Alternate Types Show
-
Multiple Arms / Legs (Mandatory)
Species: Aratela
Insectoid Limbs (Common)
The Insectoplant has arms and/or legs resembling those of an insect. With this trait, the word “insect” is used loosely and can include similar animals such as spiders and centipedes.
Sectioned Body (Common)
The Insectoplant has a body that is split up into distinct sections or segments, like that of an insect.
Note:
If the Insectoplant has a more “robotic” look, that would fall under Unusual Body / Body Parts and not Sectioned Body.
Alternate Types Show
-
Sectioned Body (Mutation)
Species: Toxislug
Scarab Rays (Common)
The Insectoplant has arms and/or legs with a serrated edge, resembling the legs of a beetle.
NOTE:
This trait only applies to Mediscarabs.
Flippers (Mandatory)
The Insectoplant has flippers on their body. This includes but is not limited to flippers resembling those of seals, sea turtles, penguins, and dolphins. They help the Insectoplant glide through the water with ease.
NOTE:
This trait only applies to Scoutopods. For any other subspecies, this falls under Odd Limbs. If Fins are used, Flippers are not Mandatory.
Feathers (Rare)
The Insectoplant has feathers resembling those of a bird covering all or some of their body.
NOTE:
If feathers are only present on the wings of the Insectoplant, such as by having the Non-Insectoid Wings trait, this trait is not necessary. This trait only applies to feathers present on the body
Alternate Types Show
Webbed Hands / Feet (Common)
The Insectoplant has thin webbing connecting the fingers and/or toes to one another. They help the Insectoplant maneuver through the water!
NOTE:
This trait only applies to Scoutopods and Snowphids.
Alternate Types Show
-
Webbed Hands / Feet (Uncommon)
Species: Snowphid
Body Armor (Uncommon)

Body Armor (Mutation)
Species: Toxislug
Odd Limbs (Rare)
The Insectoplant has limbs that do not resemble paws or human-like limbs and do not fall under any other limb trait descriptions. This can include things like hooves, tentacles, avian limbs, or dinosaur-like limbs.
NOTE:
When giving a Scoutopod hooves or avian limbs, please use the Hooves / Avian Feet trait instead. When giving a Brewmoth or Toxislug avian limbs, please use Avian Feet instead. When giving a Brewmoth any other sort of Odd Limbs, please select the trait with their subspecies name included.
Alternate Types Show
-
Hooves / Avian Feet (Mutation)
Species: Scoutopod
The Insectoplant has hooves resembling those of an ungulate and/or avian-like limbs. This may make it harder for the Insectoplant to swim effectively.
NOTE:
This trait only applies to Scoutopods. For any other subspecies, this falls under Odd Limbs.

Note:
Clothes, accessories, and props only need to be counted as Unusual Body / Body Parts if they are a physical, non-removable part of the Insectoplant’s body. In the case of a Snowphid having crystals or minerals growing out of their body, Crystal / Mineral Growth is used instead.
